Requirements regarding Hardware and Operating System
This documentation is listing the minimum requirements of hardware and software elements needed for computers to get the application WinCanVX installed and operated successfully.

Video Encoding Card
Recording video clips in the formats MPEG1, MPEG2 and MPEG4 usually requires the use of specific hardware encoding devices.

In order WinCanVX can create an MPEG-clip directly from the live video stream provided by such a device, you will need the additional license elecard (SoftwareEncoding). Otherwise an AVI-clip is created per default that results in a worse quality-size ratio.
Chassis Dimensions
Mind the minimum chassis height/depth for desktop computers in order to plug in the VITEC board properly.
