Installation; WinCan VX application

The following installation guide describes all the steps needed to download and install the application WinCanVX.

Download installation file

Please use the following link to download the latest stable version of WinCan VX

Type the address http://www.wincan.com into your web browser and hit the DOWNLOAD button:

Open

Select the relevant version you want and click the download link:

It may direct you to a download page. Hit the download button on the top right:

Depending on your web browser you may receive a downloading notification towards the top right (e.g. FireFox, Edge) or the bottom left (Chrome) of your web browser:

Start installation process

Right click on the ZIP file, select the context menu command Extract all to extract its content.

Make sure you are logged on as user with administrator privilegies or as Local Administrator and double click on the file WinCanVXSetup_[VersionNumber].exe:

If the following blue box appears, please click on More Info (1) then hit the button Run anyway (2):

If the message Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device? pops up, please click on Yes

Once the Wincan VX Setup wizard pops up, please go through the installation process confirming each step with NEXT:

Confirm the licence agreement and click on NEXT:

Untick all in the options in this section and click NEXT:

Confirm the default installation path and click NEXT to start the installation:

The installation process will start now and takes approximately 3 min to complete:

The installer will also show you additional components it will install.

Once installation is complete the following box will appear, click on FINISH to complete the install:

During the installation process WinCanVX Setup is creating the following two sub-directories where the program installation files of WinCanVX are finally located:

• C: \ Program Files (x86) \ CDLab

• C: \ Users \ Public \ Public Documents \ CDLab

Mind that both directories are excluded from any AntiVirus scan and that their privilege level is set to Full Control.

Double click on the WinCanVX desktop icon or on the corresponding program icon (3) in the subfolder WinCanVX (2) of the START menu (1):

Please give the application time to load.

After a first launch, the application will ask you to enter the license code which is valid for your license on the current machine. This code is sent via e-mail by the administration team of the company WinCan LTD:
