Restoring Lost Participants/Settings Walkthrough Guide

Steps:

  1. Open WinCan VX

  2. Go To Tool in the Top Ribbon

  3. Click The Restore Button

  4. Select Restore From File

  5. Select A Backup File From A Date When Your Participants/Settings Were Working

  6. Select and Deselect The Options You Wish To Restore

  7. Click The Green Tick

  8. Close WinCan VX

  9. Re-Open WinCan VX

  10. Click The Green Tick On The Notification Window Letting You Know That Your Settings Were Restored

  11. Open A Project and Check If Your Participants Are Now Appearing - If They Are Not This Means The File You Used To Restore Is Corrupted Or Doesn't Contain The Expected Participant Information

  12. If It Is Working As Expected Then Your Issue Is Resolved

  13. If It is still not working as expected, retry the process by selecting a different File From Step 5

 

Tips:

  • Sometimes it is best to sort your backup files by size as you may have a better chance at restoring more information with the bigger the file is as it indicates it has the most information inside it
