Magewell, Pro Capture Dual HDMI; Device not detected

Problem/Question

How does the user have to proceed when the video capture card MAGEWELL Pro Capture Dual HDMI 4K Plus LT (usually used in computers connected to an iPEK camera equipment) doesn’t show any image in WinCan VX?

Solution/Answer

Please verify the following three issues prior to the installation of the MAGEWELL board:

  • Shut down your computer and unplug any other capture card

  • Reboot your computer

  • Launch WinCanVX and check the license: the slot ELECARD must be activated

  • Uninstall any previously installed capture card driver

Continue with the steps below:

  • Shut down your computer and make sure the capture card has been properly plugged into a free PCI/PCI-Express slot:

  • Right-click on the driver SETUP and hit the command Run as Administrator

  • Follow the steps given by the installation wizard

  • Confirm the last step to finish the installation and reboot your computer

  • Open the device manager and check, whether there is a corresponding entry to this capture device

  • If YES, launch WinCanVX and go to Home > Settings > LiveVideo
