Which settings does the user have to activate or deactivate to make sure the LiveVideo signal is recorded in a good quality?
Solution/Answer
Proceed as follows to check the LiveVideo signal and its quality when using the device Sensoray 2253:
Open WinCanVX and hit the tab command Home > Settings
Select the settings category LiveVideo (1), pick the device Sensoray 2253 (2) from the list box and hit the command Configure Device (3):
Select the parameters located on the left as illustrated below:
The corresponding bit rate values for the parameter Quality (1) are saved into the file RecorderSettings.ini located in the directory C:\Users\Public\Documents\CDLAB\WinCanVX\Ini :

The user can also type the bitrate value manually (Value range for n → from 5 to 20)
Hitting the command button Device Settings (2) is going to open another dialogue box with detailed settings. Click on tab 1 to select the video renderer:
Select another renderer (e.g. VMR-7 or VMR-9) in case you don’t get any LiveVideo signal with the System Default Renderer
Make sure the Deinterlace mode is activated! This will remove the horizontal stripes that are produced on the LiveVideo image as soon as the camera starts moving.
Click on tab 2 to select the image size (720 x 576 is recommended):
In case you want to record the AUDIO together with the VIDEO stream, make sure the Audio-Input is set correctly as illustrated below:
If the Audio Input has not been defined, the following error message will pop up every 30 sec:
Video file size doesn’t change!

Confirm all LiveVideo settings hitting the green OK-button, click on the camera button in the video panel and start recording:
