This article will guide you through the steps to display your company logo on the video using software On-Screen Display (OSD) in WinCan VX. The instructions cover two scenarios, depending on the type of capture devices you are using:
WDM Capture Devices (e.g., Dazzle, Imaging Control)
Vitec Cards
The setup is similar for both device types, with one additional option required for Vitec cards. Follow the steps below for a straightforward configuration.
1. Configuring Software OSD with Logo (for WDM and Vitec)
Step 1: Access OSD Settings
Open WinCan VX and navigate to the Settings menu.
Under OSD, click on Select Device.
Click the button next to WinCan Software OSD.
Step 2: Enable Graphical OSD
In the window that appears, check the option labeled Enable Graphical OSD Objects.
Click on Configure Graphical OSD Objects to open the configuration settings.
Step 3: Configure the Logo
In the configuration window, click on the Logo tab.
Click Select and choose your company's logo from your files.
Adjust the logo size using the Size slider at the top of the window.
Step 4: Define Logo Position
In the OSD settings, click on the Settings button.
Locate the Logo Image object from the list.
Check the box to enable it.
Enter the X and Y coordinates to define where the logo should appear on the video.
X: Horizontal position
Y: Vertical position
2. Additional Step for Vitec Cards
If you are using a Vitec card, there is one extra step to complete the configuration:
Step 5: Enable Bitmap Overlay
In the video settings, ensure that the option Bitmap Overlay is selected.
This option is necessary for the logo to display correctly on videos captured with Vitec cards.
Step 6: Save the Settings
Once all settings are configured, make sure to save your changes. Your company logo will now appear on the video during recording.
