The following installation guide describes all the steps needed to download and install the application WinCanVX.
Download installation file
Please use the following link to download the latest stable version of WinCan VX
Type the address http://www.wincan.com in the address bar of into your browser.

Step 2
Once your on the Wincan website click on “Downloads” (1)

Step 3
This will take you to the “Downloads” section, here you can download the latest version of WINCANVX.
The download at the top of the page contains the slightly older, but STABLE version of WINCANVX, please look out for text stating “stable build” (1) if you are unsure which version, you are about to download.
The second download, directly underneath the stable version is the newest release of WINCANVX that may contain development bugs.
Scroll down until you see “Download” (2) and click on it.

After clicking on “download” depending on web browser and hit the DOWNLOAD button:

Select the relevant version you want and click the download link:

It may direct you to a download page. Hit the download button on the top right:

Depending on your web browser you may receive a downloading notification towards the top right (e.g. FireFox, Edge) or the bottom left (Chrome) of your web browser (1):

If this does not appear for you, please hold CTRL and press J on your keyboard, for most web browsers, this will take you to your browsers downloads section (2)

Please wait for it to finish downloading, then click on the download to open it.
WINCANVX will download as a ZIP folder which needs to be extracted before installation, if your computer does not have a ZIP application like WinRAR, windows has a built in ZIP extractor. Simply open the zipped file (3) click on “Extract all” (4) and select where you would like the application to be extracted to.

Step 5
Once the file is extracted double click WincanVXsetup to install WINCANVX

Start installation process
Right click on the ZIP file, select the context menu command Extract all to extract its content.
Make sure you are logged on as user with administrator privilegies or as Local Administrator and double click on the file WinCanVXSetup_[VersionNumber].exe:

If the following blue box appears, please click on “more info” More Info (1) then select “run anyway” hit the button Run anyway (2):

If “Do the message Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?” pops up, please click on yes.Step 6 Yes
Once the Wincan VX setup Setup wizard pops up, please go through the final part of the installation process , click next, make sure “agree to the terms of the license agreement” is selected.

Then click next again, untick confirming each step with NEXT:

Confirm the licence agreement and click on NEXT:

Untick all in the options in this section then and click next.NEXT:

Confirm the default installation path and click NEXT to start the installation.:

The installation process will now commence, this can take a few minutes to complete.

Once installation is complete the follow following box will appear, click on finish FINISH to complete the install.

You can open WINCANVX by clicking on the start button towards to bottom left of your screen (1) then either scroll down until you see folder called “WinCan VX” (2) then click on “WinCan VX” (3)

During the installation process WinCanVX Setup is creating the following two sub-directories where the program installation files of WinCanVX are finally located:
C: \ Program Files (x86) \ CDLab
C: \ Users \ Public \ Public Documents \ CDLab
Mind that both directories are excluded from any AntiVirus scan and that their privilege level is set to Full Control.
Double click on the WinCanVX desktop icon or on the corresponding program icon (3) in the subfolder WinCanVX (2) of the START menu (1):

During the After a first launch, launch the application will ask you to enter the license code which is valid for your license to be applied.
Step 7
Once the application has opened you can restore a backup by clicking on tools towards the top left of the screen (1) then click on restore (2) then you have the option to either restore via “restore from file” or “restore from web cloud”.
