Since March 2020, WinCan V8 can also be operated with the WinCan VX software license key. So there is no need to use the old WinCan V8 dongle must which is no longer be usedsupported by the hardware manufacturer.

Unplug the V8-hardlock and run WinCanV8
Open the license information panel under Info>Hardlock and check whether the entry WinCan VX License is displayed as shown below:

Troubleshooting
Proceed as follows in case WinCan V8 unexpectedly will not start up anymore and shows the message No hardlock found:
Check whether the application WinCanVXNetRunner.exe is still available in the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\CDLab\WinCanVX.
Double-click on WinCanVXNetRunner.exe
Run WinCanV8
