For a section and manhole view in map we need to import shape files (shp). The shp files need some mandatory information that we can show section and manholes correct in map. Those information you will find in the specification section in this article

Specification

Before GIS-data can be transferred into WinCanVX, each GIS field needs to be mapped or assigned manually to the corresponding WinCan field. The most important section/manhole fields are listed below

OBJ_Key

Section/Manhole Name (unique name to identify the section/manhole

OBJ_LengthLength of the section (distance from Upstream Manhole to Downstream Manhole)
nodeFromKey

Name of the Upstream Manhole

nodeToKeyName of the Downstream Manhole


Optional fields

WinCan field

Description
OBJ_City

Name of the City/Town where the section/manhole is located

OBJ_StreetName of the Street where the section/manhole is located
OBJ_Shape

Shape of the pipe (circular, rectangular, egg-shaped etc.)

OBJ_Size1Diameter/Height of the pipe [mm] / [inch]
OBJ_Size2Width of the pipe [mm] / [inch]
OBJ_DepthToInvertDepth of the manhole (distance from cover to bench/channel)
OBJ_MaterialMaterial of the pipe (concrete, steel etc.)
OBJ_SectionTypeType of section (waste water, stormwater, mixed water)
OBJ_UsageType of section (replaces OBJ_SectionType in some standards)
OBJ_WasteWaterTypeType of section (replaces OBJ_SectionType in some standards)
