Preamble
A new generation of pipe inspection cameras allow the operator to record the exact position and the course of a pipeline directly during a standard survey inspection. The camera crawler drives through the pipe and at the same time a built-in geo-sensor is recording the current coordinate position of the camera head in along the path. The corresponding X, Y and Z values then are sent directly to the computer, processed by WinCan VX and drawn by the VX modules WinCan Map und WinCan 3D.
The result of such a measurement finally provides the pipe course of a section with all the left/right deviations and altitude changes as it would look like in reality. It thus completes the classic pipe inspection survey and report.

WinCan VX Support
For all WinCan VX related support requests please create a Service Desk request with WinCan by clicking here. When making these requests, please be sure to always:
In the ‘Summary’ box, just add a ticket title, not a detailed description of the problem. The title of the box is a little misleading, but it is out of our control. You can all the details for the ticket into the ‘Description’ box further down.
Zip up and attach the entire DB folder from your current project to the ticket. Note - this is not the entire project folder, this will be too big with all the video and pictures etc. We only want the whole DB folder, not just the files or file inside.
Add screenshots to help us understand the issue that you are having - mark them up with red lines, boxes and arrows to say to us ‘look here’ when describing the issue that you are having.
Add the version number of WinCan VX that you are using. It is written across the very centre of the VX window, right at the top.
Add numbered ‘Steps to Reproduce' to the ticket description so that we can reproduce your problem exactly as you see it.
Make a new ticket each time you have a new issue. Please do not let us deal with and close a ticket, and then add a new comment along the lines of ‘Oh, and I forgot, please can you help with this as well’. Please, just create a new ticket. One ticket, one issue.
With all this, we will be in a much better place to help resolve your issue quickly and efficiently.
