  • Select templates and catalogues referring to a country specific standard

  • Set 1st order for the current project and show the project folder structure

  • Add a series of photos to the project that provide a general overview to the construction site or a digitized map/plot

WinCanVX interface

  • Grab panels on the title bar and move them randomly

  • Mix-up an existing panel layout and restore it

  • Move panels with the positioning assistant

  • Show, minimize, hide and close panels

  • Save current panel layout as a separate view

Data entry for main sections

  • Enter / delete section and inspection data

  • Enter / delete observations; working with damage catalogues

  • Enter / delete continuous damages

  • Enter / modify damage grades

Data entry for lateral sections

  • Create a new lateral and link it the current main section

  • Link an existing lateral to the corresponding main section

  • Enter / delete observations for lateral sections

  • Switch between main and lateral sections

Data entry for manholes

  • Entering manhole header data, inspections, observations

  • Entering in- and outlets linked to the current manhole

  • Entering manhole parts (cover, taper, cone, chamber, bench, channel)

  • Display the manhole in 3D view

LiveVideo; video clips, photos

  • Import/assign an existing video clip to the current project

  • Take photos from an existing video clip

  • Delete photos and video clips

Multiple inspections

  • Create a 1st inspection linked to a given section

  • Create a 2nd inspection linked to the same section

  • Browse between both inspections (e.g. …before and after rehabilitation)

  • Create a 1st inspection until the camera crawler bumps on an obstacle and finish with the text "…abandoned…"

  • Create a 2nd inspection from the opposite section end until the camera crawler bumps on the same obstacle and finish with the text "…abandoned…"

  • Create a 3rd inspection and combine (merge) both inspection parts to one single inspection

DEMO: Merging abandoned inspections of a section

Project header information (Meta data)

  • Entering address data (client, site/manager, contractor)

  • Assigning addresses to the current project

  • Setting the default contractor for future projects

  • Assigning the company logo to the contractors address

  • Creating jobs and entering resource data

Printing reports

  • Select a group of sections (i.e. mulitiple selection) prior to printing

  • Select different report types and set the corresponding printing options

  • Print all or filtered sections

  • Check the inspection report for sections in the print preview

  • Check the inspection report for manholes in the print preview

  • Save inspection protocols as a PDF file

Distributing project

  • Select a group of sections (i.e. multiple selection) prior to distribution

  • Run the MediaDistribution using the option Normal (i.e. with WinCanVX as a VIEWER version)

  • Run the MediaDistribution using the option Light (i.e. with the application LightViewer)

  • Write data on a local hard drive or on any removable drive

  • Upload current project to WinCanWeb

Project structure; important project subfolders:

  • DB: project databases; meaning of [project].db3 and [project_Meta].db3

  • Misc\Docu: PDF reports or customized exports (i.e. Excel files)

  • Misc\Exchange: files created by official exports used in different countries (i.e. EN13508 export, PACP export etc.)

  • Picture: pipe and manhole pictures (JPEG files)

  • Video: pipe and manhole clips (MPEG files)

  • Trash: container for all kind of data/media deleted from the current project

Project management

  • Add projects to the project manager list

  • Delete projects from the project manager list (clean-up project list)

  • Rename projects

  • Restore deleted objects (sections, laterals, manholes, inspections)

Data management tools

  • Auto filter based on a list of predefined fields: one field and one criterion is supported

  • Extended filter supporting an unlimited number of fields and field criteria

  • Enter filter critera using specific operators (AND; OR; * ?= < >)

  • Save standard filter queries for further use

  • Export filtered data into a new project

  • Get filtered data directly distributed on a local or removable drive

  • Search and replace field entries using the Search/Replace functionality

  • Sorting records manually in ascending or descending order via drag&drop

  • Sorting records automatically in ascending or descending order applying one or several criteria

  • Merging data from different projects into a new empty project

Report Generator

  • Pick section, inspection and observation fields and build-up a query

  • Set sorting criteria for the current query

  • Get a preview of the query

  • Export the query result as a PDF document or as an EXCEL sheet

  • Save standard query for further use

WinCan-WEB

  • Concept of WinCan-WEB: cloud-based project management service

  • Create and manage personal WEB-account

  • Upload current project from local drive to WinCan-WEB (web.wincan.com) using a specific account

  • Upload a group of previously selected or filtered sections of the current project from the local hard drive to WinCan-WEB (web.wincan.com).

  • Create a link to the current project and send it to the end customer (e.g. engineer office, local water authorities).

  • Open project via WEB-link

  • Navigate through the uploaded WEB-project

  • Download the WEB-project to the local hard drive (project as ZIP-folder or as a LightViewer-package)
