There are 3 important buttons available to users working with inclination in the OSD controls area of WinCan VX:
Inclination (L, %) is the calibration button. This is the button that you can click to set the zero point of the camera setup when it is on a perfectly level surface. The aim is to see a zero value in the number panel when the camera is on a flat surface.
Inclination forward is a button that the user clicks when they start a forward driving inclination test. In the background it simply tells the software to start recording data points from the camera and with the latest versions of WinCan VX no data points will be recorded when the camera is driving backwards. However, the user should also close the inclination recording when they reach the end of the pipe. If you do not do this, then WinCan VX will not let you start an inclination test on the next pipe because there is already a test running.
Inclination backward should be used in a similar way to inclination forward except that it will automatically close down the inclination test measurements when the distance counter reaches zero. This feature is not possible when the camera is driving forwards.
