WinCan Web: Innacurate/wrong measurements in QV360 scans

Problem

After uploading QV360 projects to WinCan Web, our AI engine automatically tries to detect the manhole cover area to use the known cover diameter as reference distance for the upcoming measurements. However, the cover area may not always be accurately detected, leading to inaccurate measurements.

Solution

In such cases, users can manually calibrate the measurement. Follow these steps:

1. Open the 3D reconstruction Window

2. Measure the cover area with the known diameter
   
   

   Open

   

3. Click on the label, then click on the ruler icon
   
   

   Open

   

4. Enter the length/distance
   
   

   Open

   

The 3D reconstruction will be automatically saved and regenerated. New measurements will now correspond to the measured reference distance.
